Too Faced Cosmetics Peaches and Cream Collection Reveal | First Look and Thoughts

We've been teased, we've waited, and now it has finally been revealed; the Too Faced Cosmetics Peaches and Cream Collection has made its' breakthrough on social media and huge beauty focused websites throughout the day. Following the success of the Sweet Peach Collection that launched late last year, Too Faced co-founder has been hinting at the continuation of the idea for quite some time, and now, we finally have all of the information we need about this sweet reveal.

☀☀☀

GENERAL INFORMATION

RELEASE DATE: August 28, 2017
WILL RETAIL AT: Too Faced Cosmetics website and Sephora
AVAILABILITY: This collection will not be limited edition and will be updated seasonally at Sephora
WHAT'S SO DIFFERENT: With the launch of the Sweet Peach Collection late last year, co-founder of Too Faced Cosmetics Jerrod Blandino proclaimed that he "started a revolution" with the peach trend in the beauty industry. That collection included a variety of peach oil infused and scented product including the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, a Sweet Peach blush (Papa Don't Peach), a highlighter trio, and lip oils. Since then, we've been teased all over social media with the launch of this collection with Jerrod stating that this collection will "change the way we look at matte makeup".  This collection has several counterparts to many of the TF products we know and love, just centrally focused on matte with a beautiful twist on the packaging with stunning gold and pink components throughout. Additionally, each product is infused with peach and sweet fig cream to give it a deliciously divine scent. Compared to the other peach themed launch, this Peaches and Cream collection is bigger, badder, and definitely juicier.

PEACH PERFECT COMFORT MATTE FOUNDATION

PRICE PER UNIT: $36 USD

DESCRIPTION: This velvet-matte foundation is supposed to be a long-wearing (claimed for up to 14 hour wear), full coverage formula with a creamy serum consistency. It will initially be available in 12 shades ranging from Snow to Mahogany. It is oil-free and infused with sweet fig cream and peach.

MY THOUGHTS: I think the packaging of this product is going to be unique as it looks similar to the primers' packaging (Hangover and the new matte primer in this collection shown next). I'm curious to see if the pump is going to be the same because I find this type of tube helps get most of the product out so you're not wasting any. As for the formula, I'm hoping this is comparable to the Lancôme Teint Idole formula because it's my current go-to.

PRIMED AND PEACHY COOLING MATTE PERFECTING PRIMER

PRICE PER UNIT: $32 USD

DESCRIPTION: From the looks of it, this is the peachy matte-finish counterpart to the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer that a lot of us know and love (also another one of my current go-to for my summer routine). A new feature of the Primed and Peachy is that it has a subtle peach tint that provides color-correcting and brightening properties as opposed to hydrating and replenishing of Hangover. Lastly, it claims to be mattifying and cooling to the touch.

MY THOUGHTS: Again touching on the packaging, I love this type of tubing and I hope that it performs as well as the Hangover primer does in how well it lives up to its' claims. I believe it will be an awesome addition to those that battle with combination/oily skin types if it does, plus the brightening and color-correcting properties of it should make it beneficial for all ages and tones. For those who battle with dry skin like myself, this might not end up being a holy grail but we'll have to experiment nonetheless.

PEACH PERFECT MATTIFYING LOOSE SETTING POWDER

PRICE PER UNIT: $32 USD

DESCRIPTION: Just as it says in the title, this is claimed to be a translucent loose, feathery setting powder that mattifying and leaves skin with a smooth finish. According to the experience by POPSUGAR Beauty, it "dissolves right away leaving skin with a silky canvas".

MY THOUGHTS: As mentioned in one of my previous posts (6 Tips, Tricks, and Products to Keep You Matte All Summer Long), the Cover FX Matte Setting Powder is one of my summer holy grails for long, sweaty days when I want to keep my face matte and glam all day long. I truly hope this is comparable to, if not better than, Cover FX's setting powder because it works like a dream on my T-zone on these summer days.

SWEETIE PIE RADIANT MATTE BRONZER

PRICE PER UNIT: $30 USD

DESCRIPTION: This bronzer is incredibly unique with it's cute design and formula. It contains a
mixture of shades and finishes with matte classic bronzer tones and slightly shimmery pink and tan shades for the matte look with just enough glow.

MY THOUGHTS: I was so excited to see this packaging because it's so perfect for this collection, especially with it being released in late summer as we're all getting into the swing of fall activities. I don't often go for multi-colored bronzers or highlighters because I have such fair skin that if it isn't made for "light", I really need to be careful because they don't always sit the way they should on me. For medium-light tones and on, however, this might be a gorgeous addition to your collection.

BRONZED PEACH AND PEACH FROST

PRICE PER UNIT: $30 USD

DESCRITPION: These two cream-to-powder formulas are made to make sure that your matte complexion still has a beautiful, healthy glow. Peach Frost, a champagne peach shade, is a subtle highlighter that (because of the cream-to-powder formula) should add the perfect glow to any skin tone. The Bronzed Peach bronzer is a universally deep tan color that is claimed to blend out and melt down to compliment Peach Frost's glow.

MY THOUGHTS: First thing's first, I'm a little nervous to try this bronzer because of how deep the shade looks in the pictures I've come across. According to POPSUGAR Beauty, this formula melts down and should be applied with either your finger or a kabuki brush to help the product blend out seamlessly. The highlighter, however, looks like a beautiful shade and hopefully have a beautiful formula. From the sounds of it, they may be similar or an improvement to the Love Light Prismatic Highlighters formula that launched earlier this year that were sadly duds in my book.

PEACH MY CHEEKS MELTING POWDER BLUSH

Source: POPSUGAR Photography
PRICE PER UNIT: $30 USD

DESCRIPTION: This collection is introducing 6 brand new shades (sorry, there's only 5 shown!) of blush with a similar cream-to-powder formula as the bronzer and highlighter mentioned above. The six shades are: Peach Dream, Ginger Peach, So Peachy, Pinch My Peach, Spiced Peach, and Peach Berry.

MY THOUGHTS: These shades scream fall to me with the two warm tones of purple and red on the bottom plus the mauve/brown shades on the upper left and right. Additionally, they look very dark but with this type of formula, they may be very sheer on the skin. TF's very popular Love Flush blushes have been loved by many, so it'll be interesting to see people's reaction to these compared to such a highly rated product.

JUST PEACHY VELVET MATTE EYESHADOW PALETTE

PRICE PER UNIT: $45 USD

DESCRIPTION: This beautifully packaged 12-pan eyeshadow palette features a variety of warm toned shades that'll be perfect for fall. The all matte palette includes warm browns and peaches, beautiful berry tones, and cream transition shades to provide you with a variety of full looks from this palette.

MY THOUGHTS: This reminds me of a smaller, matte version of the original TF Sweet Peach palette. It has all of the peach tones you could ever want, with a few very similar berry and purple-brown tones you can find in the original. I normally do not opt for all matte looks, but the way this palette shows off those to-die-for warm fall tones makes me want to throw some money at it, especially if it has the same quality (or better) of formula that the OG peach palette did.

PEACH BLUR TRANSLUCENT SMOOTHING FINISHING POWDER

PRICE PER UNIT: $30 USD

DESCRIPTION: Claimed to be "Photoshop for your face" by Blandino, this pressed finishing powder is his favorite from the line according to POPSUGAR Beauty. Unlike the loose powder that is best for the baking technique, this powder is meant to be applied as the last step of your routine to provide an illuminated and filtered finish. The formula contains tiny optical correcting spheres to smooth out wrinkles and supposedly give you that photoshopped look.

MY THOUGHTS: This peach-tinted powder is not necessarily a new concept, but most people I know do not normally opt for a tinted formula to avoid looking pink and normally opt for white or one matching their skin tone. I haven't tried anything like this, so with a claim like the one Blandino made, I already have high expectations for this product.

PEACH MIST MATTIFYING SETTING SPRAY

PRICE PER UNIT: $32 USD

DESCRIPTION: Another product complimentary to a recently launched Too Faced product, this mattifying setting spray is something we've been waiting for since the Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer and Setting Spray was released. This product is not only meant to set, but provides oil control properties to keep you matte all day long.

MY THOUGHTS: This packaging definitely resembles the aforementioned Hangover setting spray, which is something I'm not complaining about because they have perfect misting applications on them. I'll definitely be comparing this to one of my summer go-to mattifying setting sprays by Cover FX (also mentioned in my recent post: 6 Tips, Tricks, and Products to Keep You Matte All Summer Long). Additionally, I'm sensitive to heavily fragranced products so hopefully the sweet fig and peach infusions aren't artificially based perfumes or too heavy.

PEACH KISS MOISTURE MATTE LONGWEAR LIPSTICKS

PRICE PER PRODUCT: $21 USD

DESCRIPTION: This line includes 20 shades ranging from nudes to peach to dark plum colors with a hydrating matte formula. They are packaged in a cute gold and cream component and the lipstick mold has peaches engraved in them, which you can see if you look at these products closely.
MY THOUGHTS: Because I haven't tried many TF's lipsticks I don't have many thoughts yet except for 1.) I've heard mixed reviews about TF's matte lipsticks (La Matte) so there's one comparison point, and 2.) these will be compared to two super popular formulas (that I also wear all the time): Smashbox Be Legendary Lipsticks - Matte Finish and Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea Color Splash Lipstick. Smashbox's lipsticks are a perfect example of hydrating matte lipsticks and definitely one of my favorite formulas. Tarte's formula is so popular right now with its' velvet-matte finish that it would be an injustice to not compare these two to the new TF line.
